After a year of careful planning, Vanguard completed the relocation of an entire newspaper!
This time, the London Evening Standard to the Daily Express building in one single weekend. Two hundred tons of machinery, and offices for 500 staff were moved with the help of a daring, and untried method. Denied the use of lifts, reserved for the paper’s night production, the delivery of equipment to the upper storeys of the Express, were made directly from Containers craned 70 feet into the air and “docked” into the windows.
