Egan Davis Standard

Having previously undertaken the installation of an Extrusion Coating Line in France, on behalf of Egan Davis Standard, Vanguard were the obvious choice to undertake a similar installation , in a slightly warmer climate —– Thailand!!!!

Obviously there was no shortage of volunteers to form the crew, but it was felt that those involved in the French project should form the basis of the crew on this installation. The end client —Comblibloc Asia Limited – would provide local labour and cranage, Vanguard to provide their usual expertise and equipment to undertake the offload and mechanical installation of the Extrusion Line. One of our heavy duty forklift trucks, complete with ancillary equipment, ground handling tackle and the most useful tool – the kettle – were loaded into a 20’0 container and shipped to site, to be met by our crew. The Extrusion Line would be delivered to site in 7 off Flatracks and 12 off 40’0 Open Top Containers, the largest single component being the main Laminator section measuring 24’3” x 11’5” x 11’4” and weighing 24 tons, the entire consignment weighed in excess of 210 tons.

We were also contracted by Aerogen, to undertake the offloading and mechanical/electrical installation of the Flame treatment equipment which was also contained in the main shipment. The entire operation was completed in 100 days.
